Conception to production

Whether the product is an idea, an enhancement to an existing product or a production unit, PJB Systems will turn the requirement into a working concept. The feasibility of your requirement can be assessed technically and commercially and presented as a written report or detailed specification.

To ensure that our clients’ requirements are understood and agreed at the beginning of the project, we thoroughly analyse and define the task at either the quotation stage or as an initial phase of the design. The resulting written proposal is normally presented at no cost or obligation to the client.

At PJB Systems, each project is planned and controlled stage by stage in accordance with our quality system. This ensures that the design is completed to the agreed plan. As the design progresses, planned stage reviews, internal and with the customer, are carried out to ensure all requirements are being met.

Qualified and experienced engineers undertake hardware design in-house. As part of the design cycle, all circuits are built and validated prior to presenting the prototype or pre-production model to the client.

Our software engineers work in the relevant high-level or low-level languages and can develop both PC and embedded software systems side by side with our hardware engineers.

As part of the design process, compatible bench models or pre-production prototypes can be built and functionally tested in-house. Alternatively, we can integrate our design and development work on existing hardware.

EMC and CE testing and approval can be carried out in conjunction with a number of relevant laboratories and test houses to ensure reliability, safety and that products meet specification.

At all phases of the design the practicalities of production engineering are taken into consideration. Components are chosen for reliability and availability and we endeavour to accommodate process and manufacturing techniques in the original design.

Once the product is designed and approved, PJB Systems can manufacture small to medium size batches, or assist the client to source component suppliers and sub-contractors.
